Jane (Fulmer) Ravert

Jane Ravert, 94, passed away January 18th in Winter Garden, Florida.  She was born September 7, 1921 in Berwick where she lived most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Harry and Genevieve (Seesholtz) Fulmer.  She graduated from Berwick High School and then worked as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone.  She was a lifelong member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

She married William (Bill) Ravert in May of 1950 and had two daughters, Elizabeth (Don) DaVanzo of Winter Garden, FL and Susan (Allen) Sowder of Fairfax, VA.  After her husband passed away she lived at Monroe Estates in Berwick for eight years spending winters in Florida with her family there.  In 2014 Jane moved to Virginia with her daughter Susan, then most recently to Florida where she resided briefly at Golden Pond Communities assisted living facility near daughter Elizabeth’s home.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years who died April 18th, 2006 as well as two brothers, Robert Fulmer and Thurston Fulmer.

She is survived by her brother Sterling Fulmer of Sanibel, FL and sister-in-law Flora Fulmer of Northumberland along with nieces and nephews.

Perhaps her greatest pleasure in life was her four granddaughters Gia (Anthony) Kimsal, Danielle(Brian) Young, Maria (Owen) Brady and Lauren Sowder, step grandsons Christopher (Mikey) Davanzo and Gino Maragulia, six great grandchildren Alina 8, Liana 6, Avery Jane 5, Cadence 3, Addison 2 and Phoenix 9 mos., and two step great granddaughters Elliott 6 and Camryn 2.

Services will be held February 6th at 11:00 at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Reverend Stephen Portner officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service. Family and friends may send online condolences to jameslhinckleyjrfuneralhome.com.
