David George Hook

David George Hook, 67, of Berwick passed away December 9, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born October 28, 1949 in Berwick, a son of the late George and Florence (Wilson) Hook.

He graduated Benton High School class of 1968 then served in the Army during the Vietnam War. David worked at Weis foods for 34 years. He loved hunting, feeding birds, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening and baking, which he won many ribbons at the Bloomsburg Fair.

David is survived by his wife the former Diane Whitmire whom he married September 9, 1972, son Brian D. Hook of Orangeville, three grandsons; Jacob, Luke, and Zach Hook, great-grandson Brantley, sister Karen Eckroth and husband David of Berwick, and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents as well as his daughter Larie Hook, and sister Mary Lou Arner.

Services will be Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Susan Knorr officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service.
