David Cook

David Cook, 78, of Berwick passed away May 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1939 in Endicott, NY, a son of the late Phillip H. and Hazel (Jackson) Cook.

He worked as a Transportation Manager in the trucking industry for many years. He was a member of Lightstreet United Methodist Church, Elysburg Masonic Lodge 349, Bloomsburg Order of the Eastern Star 279, and Royal Arch in Berwick. David was a model train enthusiast, enjoyed playing puzzles on the computer, camping, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. David will be remembered for his larger than life personality.

David is survived by his wife, the former Flora A. “Ann” (Reed), whom he married April 8, 1961 and celebrated 56 years together, two daughters; Cheryl Frey and husband James of Bloomsburg, Sandy Frey and husband Lee of Bloomsburg; 4 grandchildren, Cassandra Mihoch, Charissa Woodruff, Jasyn Frey, and Sam Frey; 5 great-grandchildren, Christian and Jordyn Woodruff, twins Caitlyn and Jayden Mihoch, Julian Mihoch.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Ralph and Eugene Cook.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at James L. Hinckley Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until time of service.
