Obituary
Zane L. Welch, 72, of Shickshinny passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, from health issues from long time complications is now with his Lord and Savior. He was born April 6, 1950 in Nanticoke, a son of the late Horace “Monk” and Maryann (Meeker) Welch.
He graduated from Northwest High School. Zane retired from Diemler Construction. He loved to fish, hunt, play cards and board games. Zane spent his time with his loved ones and dog Snowy at Saxe Pond in Dushore, PA.
Zane is survived by his lifetime partner of 40 years, Marge Cotterman, sister Valerie Firth husband Colin, two brothers; Dale Welch wife Wendy, Vaughn Welch wife Terri, all of Shickshinny Valley. As well as nine nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, 8 stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren.
