Stephen J. (Slip) DiPippa Sr, 75, of Berwick, went to be with the Lord, Saturday August 14, 2021, at the Berwick Hospital ER.
Stephen was born May 1, 1946, in Berwick, a son of the late Louis and Rose (Lovecchio) DiPippa. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Scarince) DiPippa whom passed on March 12, 2012.
He graduated from Berwick High School Class of 1964 and worked at PP&L retiring in 2012.He was a member of the Colonial Band, Knights of Columbus, Maria Assunta, and St Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a volunteer most recently helping with the festival, and known for his famous fireballs. Slip enjoyed coaching youth football for many years. He most of all loved his family more than anything.
Stephen is survived by his four children; Bridget DiPippa, Angela DiPippa both of Berwick,Stephen DiPippa Jr. of Philadelphia, and David DiPippa and his wife Allison of Phoenixville, three grandchildren, #1 grandson Jonathan Klingerman, Matthew Klingerman and granddaughter Sienna DiPippa, four brothers; Karl DiPippa and his wife Janice, Micheal DiPippa, Joseph DiPippa and his wife Jeannie, all of Berwick and Anthony DiPippa of Bethlehem. As well as sister Kathie DiPippa of Berwick, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Services will be Thursday August 19, 2021, at 10:00am, from St Joseph Catholic Church, 721 Monroe St. Berwick Pa. 18603, with Father William Barbee officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery Berwick. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St, Berwick.
