Stephen Halczak Sr.

Stephen Halczak Sr., 75, of Berwick passed away on Monday May 13, 2024 at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. He was born July 18, 1948 in Shickshinny, a son of the late John and Susan Halczak.

He graduated from Northwest High School class of 1966 and joined the United States Air Force on July 21, 1967 and was honorably discharged on July 20, 1971. Stephen retired from Con Agra Foods Inc. where he was a machine operator. He enjoyed going to flea markets.

Stephen is survived by his wife the former Wonatta Kile, whom he married August 11, 1995, five children; Stephen Halczak Jr. wife Renee of Bloomsburg, Melissa Araniva husband Miguel of Lime Ridge, Joe Halczak of Coal Twp., Jose Garcia Jr. of Bloomsburg, Simon Halczak and companion Jennifer of Berwick, 9 grandchildren, and sister Carol of New Jersey.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Jim Halczak.

Services will be held Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Tim Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
