Shirley Lendoy Martz Fester passed away early Tuesday morning September 27, 2022 at the age of 85. The daughter of the late Carl and Earnestine Monroe Martz, born July 14th, 1937. Shirley was raised in Harveyville and attended Huntington Mills school. Later she continued her education at Luzerne County Community College where she attained her RN license.
Shirley was an avid homemaker and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. A few of her many talents included sewing, cooking and painting. She truly cherished the time she spent traveling with her husband, John. Shirley and John loved square dancing and were loyal members of the Danjo Wheelers.
Shirley belonged to Amaranth and had been the church secretary for First United Methodist Church in Berwick. Later, she worked many years as an RN for the Orangeville Nursing Home.
In addition to the love of her life John, she is survived by her three children and their spouses: William married to Fredrica, Craig, married to Helen, and Rebecca, married to Michael Pawlik, as well as her grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Katherine, Taylor and Madison.
