Shelby Kay Hoffman

Shelby Hoffman, 81, of Jim Thorpe and formally of Summerhill, went to be with the Lord, Thursday August 11, 2022, at the Maple Shade Meadows ALF of Nesquehoning. She was born on January 26, 1941, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Tennis and Erma (Knorr) Seiple. 

Shelby attended schools in the Bloomsburg Area. Graduated from Central School. She enjoyed, crocheting afghans, gardening, and mowing the grass. She loved dogs of all types but was especially fond of German Shepherds. Shelby used to help out at the Nescopeck Food Bank as well as the Summerhill Carnival.

Shelby is survived by her son Richard Hoffman and his wife Ruth of Jim Thorpe, two grandchildren, Mitch Hoffman, Colleen French, and sister Sondra Myers of Bloomsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well her husband Drue C. Hoffman, who passed on March 1, 1996, and four siblings: Terry, Tom, Ted, and Cherrie Seiple. 

Graveside services will be Monday August 15, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Elan Memorial Park Cemetery, 5595 Old Berwick Rd. Bloomsburg, with Rev. Martin Parr officiating.
