Shari Lee Jurbala, 57, of Berwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11th, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long, courageous battle against cancer.
Born in Berwick on February 28th, 1964, she was the daughter of Jackie and Peggy (Crane) Harrison. She attended Berwick Area High School where she graduated in 1982. For the past 37 years, she was employed at M&T Bank as a Senior Teller. She married the love of her life, Michael, on August 23rd, 1986 at Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a life-long member.
Shari greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved granddaughters, cooking over the fire, fishing with her husband, gardening, and watching HGTV.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael F. Jurbala Jr.; two children; son, Michael F. Jurbala III and wife Jessica; daughter, Jessica (Jurbala) Gordner and husband Brandon, all of Berwick; adored granddaughters, Eloise Jurbala and Hailee Grace Gordner; parents Jackie and Peggy (Crane) Harrison; brothers, Steven L. Harrison and companion Lisa Bomboy, of Berwick, Tracy L. Harrison, of Shickshinny; Father-in-law, Michael F. Jurbala Sr. and wife Sherri, of Benton; Brother-in-law, Joseph (Troy) Jurbala and companion Tina Clarke; beloved Chocolate Lab, Chance; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Mother-in-law, Joella D. Jurbala.
A service will be held Friday, October 22nd, at 5:30 p.m. at the James L. Hinkley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick, with Pastor Bill Klebe officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m at the funeral home. Light refreshments will be offered at the Bower Memorial United Methodist Church Annex, 140 E. Second St., Berwick, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Shari’s honor.
