Roland Q Bower

Roland Q. Bower, 73, of Berwick passed away Wednesday September 14, 2022 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation Healthcare Center, Berwick. He was born January 15, 1949 in Nescopeck, a son of the late Sterling and Katherine (Golden) Bower.
He graduated from Central Columbia High School class of 1967. He worked and retired from Weis Factory as an operator for over 43 years. Roland was a member of Summerhill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, watching deer, visiting his nephew every Saturday, hanging out with his brother, and joking with his family.
Roland is survived by his wife the former Georgene Benjamin, whom he married August 8, 1987, daughter Ruth Anna Smethers fiance Frank Persing of Berwick, two grandchildren; Quintin and Blaise Smethers, two brothers; Vaughn Bower wife Mary of Berwick, Bob Bower of Lancaster, and sister Christine Harvey husband Dennis of Pottstown. As well sister-in-law Idema Bower of Allentown and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as three brothers; William, Royal, and Marcel Bower, and two sisters; Marqueen Smith and Gloria Oblosser. 
Services will be Tuesday September  20, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Deb Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service.
