Robert Williams Obituary

Robert G. Williams Jr., 74, of Berwick passed away on Friday June 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1950 in Berwick, a son of the late Robert G. and Verna (McAfee) Williams.

He attended Berwick High School and then joined the United States Army on June 24, 1968, serving during the Vietnam War and in the Army Reserves. He was honorably discharged from military service on June 23, 1974. Bob worked and retired from Masonry Preservation Services, Inc. (MPS) and was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 5 Union. He was a member of the VFW where he once served as a Commander and was currently serving as the Sr. Vice President at Post 821.

Bob considered his brothers and sisters at the VFW as extended family and loved serving alongside them, as he did his country in Vietnam and beyond. Bob was an avid and passionate hunter, and loved horses as his father did. He was a beloved friend to all and especially loved spending time with his family. Robert will be missed by so many as he had a tremendous impact on all. All who knew him will long to see his smile and hear his laugh, until they experience them again on the other side of glory.

Robert is survived by four daughters: Jo Hanna Whitmire husband Patrick of Berwick, Holly Seltzer husband Chad of Mt. Top, Karen Laidacker significant other Sean Casey of Hobby, Ashley Kishbaugh husband Kyle of Mt. Top, and seven grandchildren: Emilie Polly husband Ryan, Erinn Whitmire, Grady Seltzer, Elaina Seltzer, Jaiden Laidacker, Tanner Laidacker, Emersyn Casey, and sister Nancy Scala, along with his nieces and nephew that he cared for like his own: Kelly Marinaro, Janel Yorks, Belinda Smith, and Michael Kowalski.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents as well as brother Russel Lee Williams and sister Patricia Ann Kowalski.
