Robert A. Taylor, 80, of Berwick passed away Sunday January 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1941 in Berwick a son of the late Robert A. Taylor Sr. and Adelaide Stefanelli Stevens.
He graduated from Berwick High School and joined the United States Air Force in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1964. Robert worked at Haddon Craftsman until retirement then he helped at Gensemer’s Meat Processing for many years.
Robert was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Berwick, and the Bloomsburg American Legion. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, especially with his grandchildren, and having coffee with the “boys” at The White Horse.
Robert is survived by two daughters; Stephanie Knorr of Mifflinville, Jennifer Gensemer of Bloomsburg, four grandchildren; Mitchell and Taylor Knorr and Owen and Isaac Gensemer, two nephews; Todd Kachurka of Berwick, Troy Kachurka of Dallas, TX, and lifelong friend and companion Dolores Bennett of Bloomsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife the former Gloria Kappas, sister Patricia Kachurka, and son-in-law Daniel E. Gensemer.
Services will be Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1000 Orange St., Berwick with Pastor Robert Klingerman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
