Pearl May Shaw, 86, of Berwick, formerly of Hobbie, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at St. Thomas Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center, Berwick.
Pearl was born, May 1, 1935, in Dorrance, a daughter of the late Curtis and Florence (Readler) Fink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughan F. Shaw, who passed on July 19, 1989; also by brothers: Curtis Jr. and Lester Fink; and sister Dorothy Schell Sickler.
Pearl worked for many places, Harvey’s Manufacturing, Berwick Shirt Factory, Lansdale Tube Co., RCA, Lady Ester, Milco, Kadett, and Baronal. She belonged to Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church. When her children were young, she was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, and she was a leader for the 4H Horse Club. Pearl enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
Pearl is survived by her two sons: Mark Shaw and his wife, Sally, of Nescopeck, and Wade Shaw and his husband, Jim Hawk, of Trucksville. A sister, Crystal Fink, of Bloomsburg, also survives.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1024 N. Market St. Berwick, with the Rev. Jeff Odgren officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, Briggsville. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
