Orvetta D. Rebuck, 88, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at her daughter’s house where she lived for the past five years. She spent most of her adult life in Berwick.
She was born May 22, 1936, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Leon and Devona (Kahney) Faust.
She attended school in Shamokin and then worked at Newberry’s, Keefers, Weis, and then retired from Sutters Hardware. Orvetta was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She always supported the Child Fund, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Salvation Army, and Wild Life.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her wonderful caregiver, Alyssa Lee.
Orvetta is survived by three children: Leon J. Rebuck, wife, Heidi, of Bloomsburg, Leeanne J. Shultz, husband, Jon, of Berwick, Dr. Susan D. Beck, husband, Tracy, of Bloomsburg; nine grandchildren: Heather, Chris, Stephanie, Jason, Keri, William, Holly, Aaron, Adam; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Orvetta was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 45 years, William C. Rebuck, who passed away on May 14, 2003.
Services will be at convenience of the family.
