“With a deeply saddened heart, we share the loss of our daughter Melissa M. Porter, 52, of Berwick on March 21, 2025. It’s heartbreaking. Her parents, William A. and Patricia (Ritter) Porter gave her everything to ensure she had the best life possible. Her mom has been her rock for so much longer than anyone ever expected, and we will miss her terribly. Melissa was her parents’ whole world. She always made us laugh and brought so much joy. She loved her teddy bears, cough drops, pendants, the radio, and our trips to Knoebels—it may seem unusual to others, but those were the things that made her happy. Along with her parents she is survived by two brothers Timothy Porter wife Regine of Sunbury, and Marcus Porter wife Nicole of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her brother Gregory Porter. We will miss her grin, her smile, and the light she brought into our lives. She you will never be forgotten.”
