Melinda M. Jones 51, of Shickshinny Pa., went to be with the Lord, Friday May 27, 2016 at her residence.
She was born August 17, 1964 in Berwick Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph A. And Joyce (Hartman) Cragle, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jeffery Bankard and a sister Merinda Cragle.
Melinda worked for Briar Creek as a Judge of Election for many years. She loved crafts, carnivals, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was very active with Down Syndrome Awareness.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jones whom she married in 1991, step daughter Erica Lee Jones-Hughs of Florida, brother Frank Lange and sister Melissa M. Poteski and husband Simon all of New York. Also, a step sister Lori Lange of New York, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday June 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St. Berwick with Pastor Ralph Hartenbach officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
