Mary L. Adams, 102, longtime resident of Berwick, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at The Community Rockhill In Sellersville, where she had been a resident for two years. She and her late husband, Doyle, moved to Hatfield to live with her daughter in March of 2003.
Mary was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Briar Creek Township, a daughter of the late George and Thersa (Bower) Pifer. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.
Mary worked for Wise Potato Chips for 20 years. She was a member of the Evansville United Methodist Church and associate member of Heidelberg UCC in Hatfi eld. Mary was also a former member of the Briar Creek Grange. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and making quilts for her family members.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Gladys Fox of Souderton and Linda Aucott and her husband Edwin of Green Lane: four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She also has a sister, Shirley Whitebread of Telford and a sister-in law, Vergie Pifer of Sykesville, Md.
Services will be at the convenience of the family; burial will be at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
