Marvin J Keefer Sr

Marvin J. Keefer Sr. 88, of Berwick went to be with the Lord Thursday November 10, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born January 6, 1934, in Berwick, a son of the late William and Velma (Hill) Keefer.

Marvin attended schools in Berwick, and then entered the Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for the Bloomsburg University, in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Berwick V.F.W. post 821, and Knapp Lodge 462 F&AM. Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and in his younger years, was a coach for all kinds of youth sports.

Marvin is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis Varner, whom he married on June 25, 1955, two sons: Marvin J. Keefer Jr. and his wife Donna and Brad J. Keefer and his wife Lydia, all of Berwick, five grandchildren; Aaron J. Keefer wife Holly, Becky Donnelly husband Michael, Steven J. Keefer fiancé Tiffany Conrad, Ashton Duke husband Jesse, Brett Keefer., and two great grandchildren, Alexander Keefer and Elliott Duke.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Robert Keefer and sister Leoma Tuggle.

Services will be, Tuesday November 15, 2022, at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1024 N. Market St. Berwick Pa. 18603, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Eric Hallett of the of the Berwick Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Rd. Bloomsburg Pa, 17825. The family will receive friends, Monday from 5 pm till 7 pm, Masonic services will be held at 6:00 pm.
