Marlene L. (Hess) Eckrote

Marlene L. Eckrote, 85, of Berwick passed away on Thursday February 20, 2025 at Glenbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born December 17, 1939 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Harland and Irene (Pullen) Hess.

She graduated from Berwick High School and worked and retired from First Keystone Bank where she was a trust officer. She was a member of Bethany Church, Berwick where she was the church organist for over 60 years. Marlene enjoyed going to and watching Penn State Football.

Marlene is survived by her son Gary Eckrote and wife Pamela of Honey Brook, PA, and three grandchildren: Austin, Emily, Mitchell.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Franklin Daniel Eckrote, who passed away on June 30, 2019, and brother Gerald Hess.

Services will be Thursday February 27, 2025, at 11:00 am Bethany Church of Berwick, 116 Summerhill Ave., Berwick with her pastor, Pastor John officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
