Marion Jane Strausser

Marion Jane Strausser, 93, of Danville and formerly of Berwick, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at Emmanuel Nursing Center, Danville, where she had been a resident for over seven years. She was born Oct. 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Freeman and Margaret (VanPelt) Miller.

She graduated from Berwick school. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Berwick, and the Eastern Star. Jane liked to travel and some of her favorite places to visit were the Dizzy Dozen Cabin in Shunk, Cape May, N.J., camping in Lancaster County, and the Yellow Farm. Jane always enjoyed doing crafts, watching the birds at her feeders, and could grow anything with her green thumb. She was filled with spiritual strength and always had a positive outlook on life. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Jane is survived by two daughters: Camille Bartlett and husband, Bill, of Denver, Pa., Cathy Maneval and husband, Bill, of Shickshinny; three grandchildren: Aaron George, Zachary Bartlett, and Emily Bartlett. 

Jane was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Carl J. Strausser; two brothers: Thomas and Richard Miller; and sister, Ruth Ann Aten.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Briar Creek Cemetery, Berwick, with Pastor Bill Klebe and Cathy Cope officiating.
