Marie Melchiorre Pilger 78, of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday February 22, 2023, at Arden Courts of Susquehanna.
Marie was born in Hazleton, May 1, 1944, the daughter of the late, Anthony and Josephine “Toby” (Cerasaro) Melchiorre. She is also preceeded in death by her husband Walter William Pilger and sister Donna Melchiorre.
Marie graduated Berwick High School and Penn State University with a Bachlors of Science Degree. She worked as a Medical Technologist until her retirement in 2017. She loved Penn State, the Yankees, music, and singing with local area groups.
Marie is survived by her three children, Walter Pilger Jr. and his wife Marcia, Anthony Pilger and his wife Kellie, and Julie Pilger and her wife Melanie, as well as by her sister Camille, brother Anthony, three grandchildren; Dante Carrelli, Walter W. Pilger III, Anthony J. Pilger, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday March 2, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 721 Monroe St. Berwick Pa. 18603, with Father William Barbee officiating. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery.
