Marie Kreischer Obituary
Marie Lucille Kreischer, 94, of Berwick went to be with the Lord Friday March 4, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family including her niece Patsy (Rick) Kuchka who helped take great care of her over the last year. Many family members helped with the burden. She was born April 29, 1927 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn (Grasley) Bower.
She worked at Lady Ester for over 30 years. Marie was very active at Summerhill Evangelical United Methodist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family, especially feeding them. She loved to bake and cook. Marie was known for being selfless, always thinking and doing for others. She loved her weekly Tuesday visits to get her hair done at Jane’s.
Marie served on the board of elections for Briar Creek Township for 30 years. She also served french fries for Summerhill Fire Company for their annual carnival.
Marie is survived by sons Gary and William Kreischer, of Berwick, grandchildren; Brent Kreischer, Nathan Kreischer (Megan), Natalie Buccat (Randy), Ryan Williams, and great-grandchildren; Madison Kreischer, Isabella Marie Buccat, Molly Kreischer, Jonathan Buccat, Lilyana Beck, Charlie Kreischer, Joshua Buccat, and Carson Williams. She is the last of her generation on Summerhill.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband of 64 years Charles Kreischer, brother Monroe Bower, sister Ellen Welsh, and daughter-in-law Larraine Kreischer.
Seevices will be held Wednesday March 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Summerhill EUM Church, 157 Twin Church Road, Berwick with her pastor, Pastor Deb Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Summerhill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.
