Marcella "Marcy" A (Grager) Varner

Marcella “Marcy” A. Varner, 77, of Berwick passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born September 28, 1945 in Tyrone, a daughter of the late Edward and Janet (Williams) Grager.

Before retiring she worked at Chapin Oil as their secretary. Some may remember her as their favorite breakfast cook at local restaurants. Marcy loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, cooking, watching the wildlife in her backyard, the Bloomsburg Fair, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Nescopeck VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Marcy is survived by her husband Richard J. Varner whom she married February 13, 1999, three children; David K. Pasquale Jr. wife Carmela of Colorado Springs, CO, Kim Groshek husband Ed of Berwick, Anthony Pasquale of Berwick, ten grandchildren; David, Mandy, CherryAnn, Joseph, Justin, Jarret, Natalia, Alessandra, Antonio, and Sergio, five great-grandchildren, and brother Edward Grager wife Nora of Houtzdale, PA.

Marcy was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Joyce Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday June 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
