Lori J. Bassett 61, of Mt. Top, went to be with the Lord, Friday August 20, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville. She was born July 14, 1960, in Berwick, a daughter of Delores (Eveland) Witchey of Berwick and the late Jay Witchey.
She was a graduate of Berwick High School Class of 1978. Lori worked at Atlantic Equipment in Danville. She enjoyed shopping, reading books, loved going to the Beach, especially Bethany Beach in Delaware with her family. She loved her Irish Setter Fletcher. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Lori was a very caring person, and would do anything for anyone and never ask anything in return, it was truly from the kindness from her heart and nature. Lori was just a very caring person.
Lori is survived by her mother as well as her husband Scott Bassett, whom she married November 10, 1990, brother David Witchey wife Lisa of Berwick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother in law L. Carl and Marjorie Bassett.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday August 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1024 N. Market Street Berwick Pa. 18603, with Pastor Greg Molter officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive family and friends, from 10:00 am till time of service at the funeral home.
