Launie Marie Brown

Launie Marie Brown 77, of Berwick, went to be with the Lord, Saturday April 30, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 14, 1945, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Hazel (Belles) Douthat Sr.

She attended Berwick Schools and lived her entire life in Berwick. Her hobbies included; baking, cross word puzzles, word search, playing cards with her family and especially loved horses. She will be missed by her dog Rosie and her cat Giovanni.

Launie is survived by her husband Wilber J. Brown Sr, whom she married on January 27, 1962, five children; Wilber J. Brown Jr. and his wife Anna of Nescopeck, Sugar C. Garcia of Berwick, Frank A. Brown Sr. and his wife Aloha of Columbia S.C., Joseph M. Brown of Berwick and Elizabeth M. Boschetto of Orangeville, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. As well as brother Burton Douthat and his wife Linda of Berwick.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a brother Bernard Douthat and two sisters, Elizabeth Eveland and Linda Lou Titus.

Services will be Thursday May 5, 2022 at 11:00 am from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 1024 N. Market St. Berwick Pa. 18603, with Pastor Ryan Reigh officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Market St. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
