Keith Cagigas joined his Blessed Savior on Saturday morning surrounded by his loving family after a brief unexpected illness. He was born in Swoyersville, PA and is predeceased by his parents, Arthur Cagigas, Roxy Culver Cagigas, and stepmother Geraldine Cagigas. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Paula DeAngelo Cagigas, daughter Jordan Cagigas Drake, son Michael Cagigas, and granddaughter Delilah Drake. He leaves behind his family pets, Duke, Roxy, and Blitz.
He graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School where he participated in football and track and field. He graduated from LCCC with degrees in business and electronics engineering. He received a Vocational 2 certification from Penn State in Career and Technical Education. Keith began work in the family business, Mr. Brakes. He later worked for Heinz Pet Products as a project manager which took him to live in Puerto Rico and travel to many other industrial hubs around the world. He left industry to pursue a career in Electrical Education. Keith instructed the electrical program at CMVTS for several years before developing and implementing the mechatronics program. He was also an instructor at Triangle Tech, PPL Learning Center, and Sun Tech from which he retired.
His hobbies included golfing, camping, and listening to country music. He played guitar and sang in two bands, North Star and Country Memories. He enjoyed smoking a variety of meats and barbecuing. He was an avid sports enthusiast and Phillies fan. Keith led a full and vibrant life. He had a dynamic personality, was beloved by many, and will be sorely missed.
Services will be Saturday November 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends Friday November 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Saturday November 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue on their website.
