Kathryn L. Sitler, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Scranton, PA, a daughter of the late Emery and Lela M. (Dornblazer) Seeley. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1941 and later moved to Wapwallopen. She worked in the banking industry for 35 years. First, as a bookkeeper for the Berwick National Bank, then First Eastern Bank, and PNC bank retiring in 1986 as assistant cashier. She was very active with Bethany United Methodist Church, Martha Class, she was treasurer of the Historical Society, and she held many offices from Secretary to President with several Berwick businesses such as the 20th Century Club, United Way, Red Cross, she was active in Business and Professional Women, and was Business and Professional Woman of the year in 1978. She enjoyed camping, traveling to Europe 4-5 times, Africa, and extensively throughout the United States. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Sheldon F. Sitler and a sister, Lela Mae Scott. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Thomas) Hunsinger, Berwick, PA; two sons, Mark L. (Martha) Sitler, Douglassville, PA, Douglas F. (Katherine) Sitler, Bloomsburg, PA; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a brother, Emery Seeley, Briar Creek, PA.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday August 17, 2015 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Bethany United Methodist Church   116 Summerhill Ave Berwick, PA., with Pastor Stephen G. Portner officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Bethany United Methodist Church or to the Historical Society 44 North Market St Rear   P.O. Box 301 Berwick, PA   18603.
