John Parker Obituary

John Anthony Parker, 89, of Orangeville passed away Friday December 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1931 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a son of the late John Amos and Margaret (Himmer) Parker.

He graduated from Richland High School in Johnstown, PA, and then was employed with Sears where he retired from after working for 38 years. John enjoyed golfing and going for car rides to look at the mountains.

John is survived by two children; Bob Parker wife Leslie of McLeansville, NC, Linda Harbison husband Bill of Abington, PA, sister Nancy Hill of Johnston, PA, and sister-in-law Mary Parker of Delaware. As well as five granddaughters, Michele Jonas who he raised like one of his own children, ten great-grandchildren, and companion Gloria Clossen.

John was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife the former Kathryn Manges who passed away in 2005 ended a marital span of 55 years, son Dave Parker, and brother Jim Parker.
