Howard “Huffy” F. Hoffman

Howard F. “Huffy” Hoffman,91, of Berwick, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Lois A. (Young) Hoffman.

Born June 17, 1934 in Fern Glen, he was a son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Fisher) Hoffman.

Howard served in the U.S. National Guard, a commitment that he upheld with great pride. Following his service, Howard dedicated many years to the Wise Food shipping department prior to retirement. After his retirement Howard worked for the Berwick Cemetery Association for more than 10 years. 

Howard was a man who took great joy in the simplicity of life. His free time was often spent tending to his home, where he would be seen working around the house with a level of care and attention that made his residence not just a house but a home. His patio and yard were his paradises, where he would spend countless hours ensuring everything was just right. Most of all Howard loved and cherished spending time with this grandson and great-grandson.

Surviving are two daughters Cynthia J. “Cindy” Hoffman and Tammy Townsend-Hoffman both of Berwick; a grandson Christopher Townsend; and a great-grandson Carter Townsend. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald and Randy Hoffman and two sisters Nancy Herness and Marlene Stoker

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery.
