Gary L. Hummel

Gary L. Hummel, 78, of Bloomsburg, passed away on August 29, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born April 23, 1947 in Berwick, a son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Fink) Hummel.
He graduated from Berwick High School and then served in the United States Army from August 15, 1966 until being honorably discharged on August 14, 1968. Gary was awarded a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War.
Gary is survived by sisters Shirley Hornberger husband Carl of Berwick, Debora Hummel of Coal Township, brother Gerald Hummel and spouse Robert Harding of Berwick, five nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and nephews and twelve great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his brother Dale Hummel.

Private services will be held by the family.
