Eva Albana (Benscoter) Mont

Eva Albana Mont, 82, of Berwick passed away in the presence of her daughters on Saturday March 4, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born October 30, 1940 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Freas and Mary (Kishbaugh) Benscoter.

She graduated from Berwick High School in 1958. In her early years she was employed by WT Grant and Berwick Hospital Business office. She then became a teller at Berwick National Bank which became First Eastern Bank, then PNC from which she retired. 

Eva was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Berwick Hose Co. #1, making the bean and vegetable soups for their carnival. 

Eva is survived by her daughters, Erika Mont, Elizabeth Mont Miller (Charles), brother Lloyd F. Benscoter, all of Berwick. 

Eva was preceded in death by her parents as well as sister Carolyn Benscoter Jefferies.

At Eva’s request services will be held privately. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society , ASPCA Danville, or the Animal Resource Center, Bloomsburg.
