Elmer D. Hower Jr.

Elmer D. Hower Jr., 86, of Nescopeck passed away on Sunday April 20, 2025 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1938 in Berwick, a son of the late Elmer D. and Ruth (Dawson) Hower Sr.

He worked at Force Garage in Berwick and Hartzell Chevrolet in Bloomsburg as an auto machinic. Elmer enjoyed going hunting, fishing when he was younger, and listening to his 911 scanner. He was a member of Nescopeck and Mifflinville Fire Co.

Elmer is survived by his son Jeffrey M. Hower wife Tammy of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren: Dakota Hower, Michael Hower, Liltha Deghetto, brother Dennis Hower wife Judy of Ringtown, and sister Trudy Frace husband Gary of Hetlerville.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife the former Marylee Folk, whom passed away June 2011, and sister Juder Hower.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday May 3, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Mifflinville Fire Hall, 605 Market St., Mifflinville.
