Elaine L (Fowler) Engelhardt

Elaine L. Engelhardt, 91, of Berwick, passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danville.

She was born June 11, 1934, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Fawcett) Fowler.

She graduated from Berwick High School and Kutztown University. She and her late husband, the Rev. Bernard Frank Englehardt, resided in Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania, from 1966 until 1994 where he was the pastor at St. John’s Church. Elaine was a teacher; she loved reading and doing arts and crafts.

Elaine is survived by two sons: Steve Engelhardt of Berwick, Dave Engelhardt, wife, Michelle, of Maryland; two grandsons: Eric and Ben Engelhardt.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, the Rev. Bernard Frank Engelhardt.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1600 Fowler Ave., Berwick, PA 18603. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
