Dwight David Olver, 68, of Berwick, passed away on May 21, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazelton. Born on June 1, 1957, in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Leroy and Dolores (Hornlein) Olver.
Dwight’s working life reflected his strong work ethic and his desire to care for others. He spent many years employed at Berwick Offray before pursuing a new path in health care. In 2009, he graduated from Hazelton Practical Nursing Program, where he earned his LPN. He later worked at Bloomsburg Health Care until 2022 and afterward continued serving others through home health agencies. He took pride in his work and approached each role with patience, compassion, and a dependable spirit that earned the respect of coworkers and those in his care.
Beyond his career, Dwight enjoyed the simple pleasures of everyday life. He especially liked playing miniature golf and watching football, with a particular fondness for the Chicago Bears. He also loved his cat, Max, who brought him comfort and companionship.
He was the beloved husband of Susan Evans, who he loved going to Thursday night date nights at Applebee’s with. He is also survived by his five siblings, Darryl Olver and his wife Maxie, Debra Mazzillo and her husband James, Dana Olver, Diana Jo Koons, and Drew Koons.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother David Koons, and sister Dawn Reminsnyder.
