Dorothy I. (Dot) Taylor, 88, Berwick passed away February 8, 2016 at SHC of Bloomsburg Rehab & Wellness Center. She was born July 8, 1927 in Danville, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Welliver) Tobias.
She attended schools in Danville. Dorothy was a member of Mifflinville United Methodist Church, Mifflinville. She enjoyed working in her yard especially her flower beds, and going out to eat.
Dorothy is survived by three children; Gloria J. Cromis and husband John of Bloomsburg, David W. Taylor and wife Pamela of Berwick, and Tammy L. Miller and husband Rich of Berwick. As well as six grandchildren; Nicky J. Cromis, John Cromis Jr., Lori Pensyl, Thomas Taylor, Heather Taylor, and Rachel Miller, and six great-grandchildren; Calven Cromis, Owen Cromis, Haley Pensyl, Lindsay Pensyl, Caitlin Lowe, and Ava Taylor.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Harry L. Taylor who passed away in 1979, son Rev. John L. Taylor who passed away in 2003, two brothers; William and Ralph Tobias, and two sisters; Ethel Genoa, and Mary Hill.
Services will be Friday February 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with her Pastor John Bondhus officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Thursday February 11, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
