               Donald Marvin Rau 88, of Berwick passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Berwick Hospital. He was born June 20, 1927, in Wilkes Barre a son of the late Carl and Grace (Seiwell) Rau.

               He graduated from Coughlin High School and Wilkes College in 1950 he earned is BA and was the first graduating class. Don was in the United States Navy in 1945 to 1946. He worked at Laros Textile Co. in Kingston where he was the plant manager. It was then purchased by Warner Bros. Co. He came to work for Lady Esther Lingerie Corporation for 28 years, where he was the plant manager and Vice President before he retired. He moved to Berwick 45 years ago. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, was on the Salem Township Zoning Board for 12 years, former Berwick Chamber of Commerce where he was the Vice President, and was formally on the YMCA Board. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved carpentry and double the size of his cottage in North Lake, where he enjoyed going in the summer with his wife. The love of his life was his dog Bell.

               He is survived by his cousin Karen DeGraziano of Ellicott City, Maryland and other distant cousins.

               Don was preceded in death by his wife Audrey E. (Wertman) Rau who passed away December 15, 2010, and a sister Carol Williams.

               Services will be Sunday July 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at The James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St. Berwick with the Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
