Delbert Duane Cragle

Delbert Duane Cragle, 93, passed away on May 18, 2026, at The Gardens at Orangeville.

He was born on August 31, 1932, in Beach Haven, a son of the late Clarence and Pearl (Iddings) Cragle. He attended Beach Haven School and carried with him the values of his hometown throughout his life. Delbert was known as an interesting man, someone whose presence left an impression on those who knew him.

Delbert retired from Deluxe Homes after years of dedicated work. He loved being outdoors, and some of his happiest times were spent hunting and fishing. These interests were not merely pastimes to him, but ways of enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. Whether he was out in the woods or near the water, he found comfort in the quiet moments that came with those activities. The outdoors gave him a sense of freedom and connection that stayed with him throughout his life.

Delbert is survived by his two sons, Daren Lee Cragle of Berwick and David Duane Cragle of Wilkes-Barre. He is also survived by his daughter-in- law Nikkia Marie Harman, granddaughter, Mihala Moon Cragle of Berwick. In addition, he is survived by his two brothers, Clarence Cragle and Bruce Cragle, as well as his sister, Loretta Horner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife, the former Mary Jane Sponenberg, who passed away on November 30, 1999, and by his sister, Carrie Ryman.

Services will be Friday May 29, 2026, at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 N. Market St., Berwick. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
