Dale J. Schechterly, 71, of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Dale was born, April 22, 1952, in Berwick, a son of the late Earlea Schechterly.
Dale attended Berwick High School and served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.
Dale is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sharon (Lehman); a son, Shawn DiAgostino, and wife, Michele; sister, Doris Honse, of Berwick; brother, Martin Crane Jr., and wife, Shirley, of Copperas Cove, Texas; sister, Helen Clark, of Berwick; a brother, Randy Herring, and wife, Lea, of Berwick; and sister, Judy Thivierge, and husband, Jason, of Benton; his grandchildren: Reese DiAgostino, Mary-Grace DiAgostino, Emily Litchko; and his great-grandchildren: Kaden, Taven, and Elijah.
In addition to his mother, Dale was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Simmons.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Elan Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Moseley officiating.
