Curtis Reider Obituary

Curtis O. Reider, 86 of Berwick, passed away April 10, 2020, at home with his family. Curtis was born in Berwick on October 2,1933, a son of the late Sarah (Grassley) and Robert Reider.

Curtis served in the United States Marine Corp from 1953 to 1956 during the Korean War. He attended Central Bible College in Springfield Missouri. He was employed by United Association Pipefitter and Plumbing Union, where he worked as a pipefitter and welder for 40 years retiring in 1998. Curtis was an avid racoon hunter with a couple of dogs becoming Grand Night Champions. Later in his life he began golfing and became a member at Arnold’s Golf Course where he enjoyed fellowship with his family and friends. Curtis also enjoyed a healthy glass of Lambrusco. He was a member of the Berwick Assembly of God.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, the former Faye J. English, daughter Tereece (TC) Hess, brother Robert Reider, and sister Cora Windham.

Curtis is survived by: son Greg Lewis, (Carla) Berwick, daughter, Lori Cukjati, (Jack) Pensacola FL, daughter Shelly Reider (Brian) Wilkes-Barre, son Kurt Reider (Bridget) Berwick, brother Lyle Reider (Tillie) Bainbridge, sister Donna McQuate (John) Birdsborough. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Lauren Lewis, Justin Lewis, Lindsey Lewis, Lydia Lewis, Natalie Cukjati, Jacob Cukjati, Matthew Cukjati, Sarah Hess, Cortney Hess, Kelsea Fetterman, Tiffany Moser, Devin Reider and 13 Great Grandchildren.

Due to current circumstances, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Internment will be at Elan Memorial Park Cemetery, Lime Ridge.
