Cataldo Giordano

               Cataldo Giordano Jr., 67, of Berwick passed away Sunday December 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1948 in Berwick, a son of the late Cataldo and Assunta (Milazzo) Giordano Sr.

               He graduated from Berwick High School class of 1968 and received his Associates Degree from Luzerne County Community College. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Cataldo volunteered for the literacy program teaching people how to read in Berwick for over 30 years. He helped his wife deliver papers for the Morning Press. He liked collecting Noah’s Ark Collectables and loved Dolly Parton. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Berwick.

               Cataldo is survived by his wife Orpha Irene (Gruman) Giordano Jr., a daughter Serena Irene Giordano of Bloomsburg, a brother Vincent Giordano of Scranton, and a niece Angela Williams and husband Jason of Scranton.

               Services will be Thursday December 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 N. Market St., Berwick with Bishop Keith Somford officiating.
