Carolyn K (Grasley) Collins

Carolyn K. Collins, 77, of Berwick, went to be with the Lord, Friday May 1, 2020, at the Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital. She was born September 16, 1942 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Duval R. and Kathryn (Stout) Grasley.

She graduated from Berwick High School and Women’s Hospital Philadelphia where she got her registered nurses degree, then she joined the United States Army National Guard where she was a registered nurse. Carolyn came back to Berwick where she worked for Dr. Tanribilar, Dr. Frank and Joe Gegwich, and Dr. Joseph Derr for over 23 years. She belonged to the Summerhill United Methodist Church. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, and doing ceramics. 

Carolyn is survived by her son Douglas D. Collins of Berwick, son-in-law Timothy Learn of Berwick, sister Vicki Gdanski husband Jerry of Lafayette Hills, PA, and two granddaughters; Olivea Learn, Erika Collins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Royce A. Collins who passed away June 19, 1975, daughter Julie Lynn Learn who passed away November 5, 2013, sister Susan Carrathers, and her companion Robert “Bud” Ferrone who passed away April 23, 2020

Due to the Covid Pandemic services will be at the convenience of the family at Summerhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area, 8830 Cameron St. #201, Silver Spring, MD  20910.
