Carl F. Hosler Jr. 79, of Berwick, went to be with the Lord, Saturday May 25, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was born January 10, 1945, in Berwick, the son of Jessie (Seely) Hosler of Bloomsburg and the late Carl F. Hosler, Sr.
Carl was a farmer at heart. He was a graduate of Berwick High School, concentrating in agricultural studies. After graduation, Carl began his career as a dairy farmer, a vocation he loved and dedicated himself to for more than 30 years. After shifting from dairy farming, he spent many years working full-time for Kemmerer Farms in Berwick. Even after needing to leave full-time farming, never one to sit still, Carl stayed busy and drove a school van right up until his passing. He was a member of Shiloh Bible Church where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was active in Bible studies, and enjoyed sharing his weekly Test Day Tuesday emails with numerous contacts. His church family knew him as a constant source of encouragement, to have a humble servant’s heart and to exhibit a great love of his Savior. But most of all, Carl enjoyed spending time with his family who were by his side at the time of his passing.
Carl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian (Smith), four children; Carl B. Hosler and wife Tiffany of Bloomsburg; Brian L. Hosler and wife Heather of Lorton, Virginia; Kevin T. Hosler and partner Susan Butchko of South Abington Township; Kelly S. Polen and husband Benjamin of Beaver Falls; nine grandchildren, four brothers; Donald J. Hosler Sr. and wife Debbie of Foundryville; Joel Hosler of Nescopeck; Roger Hosler and wife June of Berwick; Arthur Hosler and wife Becky of Berwick; and a sister Anita Canouse of Berwick.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Hosler.
