Betty J. (Beaver) Geise, 92, of Berwick passed away December 3, 2015 at Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation and is now in the loving hands of the Lord.
She was born February 11, 1923 in Paxinos, daughter of the late Charles and Goldie (Lieby) Weatherhill.
She worked at Wise Potato Chip. Betty was a member of ladies aid at Bethany United Methodist Church. She was one of the first members of the Berwick Trail Blazers Camping Club.
Betty is survived by three children; Charles (Jim) Beaver and wife Joyce, of Berwick, Ann (Beaver) VanPelt, of Mifflinville, and Bruce Beaver Sr. and wife Susan, of Nescopeck. Also 8 grandchildren; Rodney Beaver, Diane Galanti, Scott Beaver, Brian Beaver, Sherri Tucker, Wendy Gebhardt, Michael Beaver, and Bruce Beaver Jr., 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Kenneth Weatherhill and wife Mildred, of Danville, Raymond Weatherhill and wife Yvonne, of Potter County, and a sister Alice Cotner, of Turbortville.
Betty was preceded in death by her first husband Wilbur Beaver who passed away October 18, 1961 and her second husband Arnold Geise who passed away October 3, 2012. As well as a brother Robert Weatherhill, two sisters; Nettie Walters, Helen Fenstermacher; four stepsisters; Mildred Bell, Dorothy Weatherhill, Goldie Karns, and Francis Williams, and a great granddaughter Brooke Beaver.
Services will be Saturday December 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St., Berwick with Reverend Stephen Portner officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till time of service. Family and friends may send online condolences to jameslhinckleyjrfuneralhome.com.
