William Fenstemaker Obituary

William B. Fenstemaker, 63, of Berwick passed away Monday April 22, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 1, 1956 in Berwick, a son of the late William C. and Audrey (Hess) Fenstemaker.

He graduated from Columbia Montour Vocational School, class of 1974. He proudly served our Country in the United States Navy from 1977-1985. Bill worked for PPL with various jobs, the last being material handler in Marion Heights.  Bill was a former Past Master of Oriental Lodge 460, and a member of Trout Unlimited. He was a master craftsman and carpenter. He enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years the former Valerie Grassley, whom he married February 2, 1979, four children; Erika Burkhart and husband Douglas of Bloomsburg, Josh Fenstemaker and wife Jennifer of Bloomsburg, Adam Fenstemaker and wife Samantha of Bloomsburg, Mark Fenstemaker and wife Sara of Portsmouth, Virginia, eight grandchildren; Lauren and Jack Burkhart, Kaleb, Ryan, Leah, Alyssa, William, and Elizabeth Fenstemaker. As well as his brother James “Jim” Fenstemaker and wife Tracy of Hazelton, and two sisters Beth and Linda.

Services will be Friday April 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
