Ruth G. Hartman, 95, of Bloomsburg went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Ruth was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Koonsville, a daughter of the late Phillip and Emma (Featherman) Smith. She was also preceded by her husband Ray Hartman who passed away in 1984, brothers: Phillip, Roy, Howard, Walter and John, and sisters: Edith and Mary.
Ruth was a member of the fireman’s association, Berwick Senior Center, and enjoyed embroidery and crafts. Ruth worked for the civil defense in the 1950s, in the post office, bicycle shop, butcher shop and a ribbon factory. She attended Shickshinny schools.
Ruth is survived by her son, Phillip D. Hartman and his wife, Ruth-Ellen; a grandson, Scott W. Hartman and his wife, Carrie; one great-grandson, Ryan, and sister, Leona White.
Services will be private, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick.
