Richard “Dick’ C. Traugh, 76, of Berwick passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday July 23, 2019. He was born December 12, 1942, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late C. Woodin “Woody” and Ethel (Rich) Traugh.
Dick graduated from Berwick High School, class of 1960. He always worked in sales; first working at the American Auto Store; followed by Sears and Roebuck, both in Bloomsburg and at the Columbia Mall, and finally selling real estate in Berwick Area. He retired at the age of 70. Dick had also been a member of the Berwick National Guard Unit, and a member of Knapp Lodge where he served as Worshipful Master and other offices.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years the former Ralphene Ruch, his son Matthew R. Traugh, two grandsons Kyle and Nathaniel Traugh, and great-granddaughter Layla Traugh. His is also survived by his brother John R. Traugh.
Services will be held Saturday July 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, 2nd and Pine Street, Berwick with the Rev. Wanda Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Friday July 26, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Knapp Lodge Masonic Services will be Friday at 7:45 pm at the church.
