Richard Smith Obituary

Richard L. Smith, 80, of Berwick passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born November 1, 1937 in Berwick, a son of the late Roland and Emma (Painter) Smith.

He graduated from Bloomsburg High School class of 1955 and then worked as a truck driver for several companies and worked as a dispatcher for Wise Foods. Richard was a former member of the Bloomsburg Elks, and the Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273. Richard enjoyed antique tractor shows, camping, and traveling.

Richard is survived by his wife the former Louise Keck, three children; Richard D. Smith and wife Faith of Berwick, Jodi Rhodes and husband Ross of Catawissa, and Bradley L. Smith and wife Jody of Berwick, three grandchildren; Jen, Ashton, and Kristin, one great-granddaughter Adalyn, and sister Barbara Adams and husband Ronald of Texas.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents as well as his three brothers; Victor, Carl, and Samuel.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. Family and friends may send online condolences to jameslhinckleyjrfuneralhome.com.
