Erma Jeanne Young

Erma Jeanne Young, 79, of Berwick, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at her home.

She was born September 18, 1940 at Berwick Hospital, a daughter of the late Edwin C. and Eldora B. Young.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth (Betty) Williams and a brother Earl E. Young.

Erma Jeanne is survived by three brothers Edwin C. Young Jr. of New Columbus, Eckley NR. Young and his wife Linda of Berwick and Elvin L. Young and wife Jane of Orangeville and six nephews and four nieces.

Erma Jeanne graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1959. Erma Jeanne was a packer at Wise Snacks for over forty years.

Erma Jeanne was a kind, Loving, generous and happy soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family and helping them in any way she could.  Erma Jeanne always saw the best in people.  Erma Jeanne enjoyed music and played the organ and the piano for Ebenezer United Methodist Church on State Rt. 93, where she was a Lifetime member.  Over the years she has collected a sizeable number of records.  Erma Jeanne was a charter member of the Sweet Adalines Chorus and for years sang at various events.  Erma Jeanne also collected Coke a Cola memorabilia and she also has a collection of music boxes. 

Erma Jeanne will be missed by those whose life she has touched in many loving ways.  May she Rest in Peace.

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, State Route 93 Orangeville, Pa 17859 with her Pastor Deb Harvey officiating.
