Barbara D Vought

Barbara D. Vought, 87 of Berwick, PA passed away August 24, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family. Born December 25, 1931 in Wilkes Barre, PA, the daughter of the late John Vought and Lillian M. Wagner Vought. 

Barbara was employed as a Packer at Wise Foods, in Berwick. Later she worked as a dental assistant for the late Dr. Charles Bull in Berwick, until his retirement; and also as a dental assistant for Dr. Ralph Norce in Berwick, PA. Barbara then, returned to Wise Foods in the Accounts Payable Department, until her retirement in 1997. 

Barbara was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Berwick, PA. She lived in Briar Creek Township in the Briar Crest development for 53 years, first with her late mother Lillian M. Wagner Vought Grover and then with her sister-in-law Gayle D. Vought. She was a loving aunt and sister-in law, who will be greatly missed. 

Barbara was an avid gardener, who loved to attend to her flower beds, garden and mow the lawn. She was still working in her yard until August 8, 2019, when she fell ill.

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law, Gayle D. Vought of Berwick PA and her niece, Jacqueline M. Vought, also of Berwick, PA.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John Vought and Lillian M. Wagner Vought Grover; her brother Reginald Jack Vought; her aunt Ruth Hileman; and her nephew Douglas H. Vought.

At Barbara's request their will be no viewing or funeral.
