Matthew Joseph Wargo

Matthew Joseph Wargo, 40, of Shickshinny passed away on Friday January 5, 2024. He was born September 24, 1983, a son of Michael John Wargo Sr. and Mary Stella Dluzeski of Shickshinny.

He attended Northwest High School. Matt worked for Champion Builders as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and loved working hard.

Matthew is survived by his parents as well as his stepfather Henry “John” Dluzeski, two sons; Domonik Wargo of Tennessee, Kasick Wallace of Benton, two brothers; Michael David Pietrzyk of Florida, Michael John Wargo Jr. of Benton, two sisters; Jennifer Marie Wargo of Tennessee, and Jacqueline Mary Wargo of Benton, and paternal grandmother Lupe T. Pietrzyk of Shickshinny.

Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Pietrzyk and paternal grandparents John and Theodosia Wargo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Martha’s Holy Spirit Parish, 260 Bonnieville Rd, Fairmount Springs, PA with Father Kaminski officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
